Paris in Summer

We always travel to Paris in late May and early June. Because of many factors it looks like we cannot get away until later in summer (July) and we are wondering about it being too hot and crowded. Feedback???

Temperature, depends on the year. Some years there's a heat wave. Some years it's cool in July. This year Europe is having a deep freeze, while we're having a mild winter. Can't predict. It all depends on the gulf stream and the jet stream.

Amanda, I have gone in May, June , July, August , September and early October. I did not find it less crowded in late May, and June is VERY busy, perhaps more then July( since so many people think it will be quieter then summer, lol ) So other then October when I did notice less crowds,, you will encounter crowds. Its not a big deal to me. Now as for the "hot" part, good luck, I have been very hot and very cold in every single month, about 5 years ago took a friend in August, told her to pack mainly sundresses and skirts for heat. It was the coldest wettest 9 days I have spent in Paris in years.. we actually had to go out and buy more long sleeved shirts and slacks( we had only packed one each!) . So it may be hot, or it may not be, Paris locals will tell you last summer was not hot at all, one expat said she considered turning on the heat in July!
I still book accomadation with ac though,, cause when its hot, its hot, all that pavement and stone!
