Paris in November. Good time to visit? Ok weather?

I am considering visiting Paris in early to mid November. I have visited about 5 times at other times of year. Are there any festivals going on or special events in November? I might combine it with a week in provence or near Nice.

I have not rented an apartment in Paris, so any advice on specific companies or apartments reviews would be helpful. I do skim the helpline for Paris accommodation recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Don't expect much sun, but temperatures are more than mangeable. Especially for someone coming from Alberta.

June, I have been to Paris in late November twice and for a Montrealer it was excellent. Not cold, temperatures around 10 C or so, dampish & windy some days, but otherwise just fine. Days are short, though, but they are in Alberta in November, too. I am sending you a PM with an apartment recommendation. Check your private messages.

I'm with the others. Weather is just fine. Coolish, maybe dampish, but more than made up for by the changeable skies throwing dappled light on damp stone, and the general lack of frenzied heat-stroke-crazed tourists.

I seem to recall that there's a bunch of artist-y festivals in Paris in November. It's Photography Month, maybe? And there are open-studio happenings.

I just love Paris at any time of year...

I have been to Paris in both November and December. Late November will have the Christmas markets open. Being from NY I found it to be cool but not uncomfortable. I only had one line to deal with to see the water lilies. Great trips both times
