Paris in February

Hi all,
How do you feel about Paris in February? I have been 5 times in the summer but never in winter. The way I figure it is:
*It is cold here too!
*Lines are shorter
*Clothes don't have to be quite as hip as everyone is bundled up.
*I need to plan my Paris itinerary around the metro instead of around walking, this is new to me.
Flights are cheaper.
*Hotels are cheaper.
What do you think? Am I going to hide under the covers for 2 weeks?

I went in Feb a few yrs ago. It is just as you said. For a few minutes one morning, I was the only person in one of the Lovre rooms. I don't think that happens in the summer. It was rather bitter cold as I recall. Bring a nice wool neck scarf. It'll keep you comfortable. Oct/Nov is my favorite time for Paris, but I'd much prefer Feb to the summer months.

There was this same exact thread not too long ago, if you search back a few pages you'll see it...there was good info in there...

My mother went for 3 weeks this past Feb. and she absolutely loved it. It was her first time in Paris. The weather was cold, but not uncomfortable. They had a nice apartment in the 7eme, and said the weather never was an issue and it was always pleasant. She said it was not overly crowded either, so lines were not as long as they can be in the summer.

I make my first trip to Paris a week from Monday!!
