Paris in early Nov.

We are having a difficult time getting reservations for the week of November 5th. Have been told by several hotels it is a "very busy week." Any ideas why? Have started checked elsewhere with no luck. Would appreciate any insight. Thanks.

Mary, I certainly have no idea why the 'busy week', but this web site should get you a wonderful stay. The company which conducts this business is located right in NJ, too.

Thank you Perry for the website. We will check it out immediately. Since I posted the question we received another "rejection" stating that "there were many expositions" during that week and would be a shortage of rooms. Hope to find one with your info. Thanks.

That time of year is when the fall fashion shows are occurring in Paris; and as you discovered it fills up most of the hotels. About four years ago I was traveling through Europe and figured I could arrive in Paris that time of year without reservations. The only reasonably priced hotel the a tourist office could get me was one of the resort hotels at Disneyland Paris. So I made the best the situation and had a fun time at Disneyland and Paris. DL is located on an RER line and the station is right next to Cinderella's Castle.

Check www.accorhotels.com. They're a huge chain across Europe (and the world) with 156 hotels in Paris...more in surrounding areas. A quick check for the week of 5 November shows several available. Their bottom-line hotel with ensuites is Etap, while the next up the comfort chain is Ibis. Both are budget hotels with clean, comfortable rooms.

If your stay is for a week look into renting a apartment.I was in Paris in May and rented the same place for the second time,in the Marais ;close to Notre-Dame,Pompidou center, church St. Eustache.I really enjoy the apartment over the hotels. Cheaper and you can enjoy eating in after a busy day.
