Any recommendation on Illumination Tours in Paris as well as other evening activities to include a teenager.

I went on it and did not care for it. Well, I liked two things. One, I was sitting down after a long day. Two,the bus was very high and I could see into apartments. Otherwise, it was overpriced and felt claustrophobic. My girls did not care for it at all. The 12 yr old fell asleep.

Great evening activity to do with a teenager.
Fat Tire Paris by Night Bike Tour. Includes a cruise on Siene. Fun and EASY( I was in mid forties and hadn't been on a bike for at least 25 years when I took my first bike tour with them). The Paris Illumination Tour would bore a teen , its for old people . And I am too young for it, so assume you guys are too... ( I am over 50 ) . google Fat Tire Bike Tours. so fun. Really. Also both Orsay and Louvre have evenings hours on some nights , check on their websites which nights they are open. Its usually a nicer time to visit as they are not so crowded.

I've recently found out that some of the illumination tours are on coach buses and apparently some are mini vans. I would think that an open air bus would offer the best view. Any recommendations or names of providers?

Pat, it was Bike About tours. My friends loved it, I was underwhelmed. But then again, my friend hated the Paris walks tours and I can't get enough of them!

Different stokes for different folks. I'm 27 (was 21 when I went the first time) and loved Paris Illuminations. I took the Paris Illuminations Tour by minivan from Paris-Trip the first time I went and absolutely loved it and I'm not a fan of bike tours.

Alexander , which bike tour did you do? I have a feeling I know the answer, lol Betsy , it seems the best answer is ASK YOUR TEEN.. my kids had to contribute to their Europeon holidays by helping plan activities or sites they wanted to see.
Even my 11 yr old was told to find and pick three sites for her "must see wish list" You can easily find the site for the tour and for Fat Tire and ask teen to look at both and she/he can decide which looks more fun.. Just so you know the cruise included is lovely as you see all the monuments and bridges lit up from the water.
