Paris hotels - inexpensive

We are a family of 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 children age 9 and 11 and will be in Paris 3 nights - 31 May to 3 June. Has any one had any experience with either Hotel de Turenne or Hotel Lyon-Mulhouse? We are considering 2 triple rooms. Any other suggestions in same price range?

Tony...Can't help you with those two places but you can get lots of travelers views of them and others at www.tripadvisor.com. It is a very useful website.

Don't discount apartments. Depending on how close you are there are some that will sleep six and will rent by the day.

Well I have not stayed at these hotels, but, I read the reveiws on TA and since I have read and used the reviews on TA more then 3 times to book different hotels in Paris I consider them very helpful. I always read at least two or three pages of reviews to get a general consensus, and it seems to me that the Hotel Turennes reviews are not very consistant, in fact , seems pretty hit and miss to me and I wouldn't chance it. One bad reveiw is could just be someone being cranky, serveral point to an issue.

I thought the reviews on the Lyon-Mulhouse hotel were better overall.Plus I liked the READER posted photos on the Mulhouse Hotel review site, hotel posted photos can be decieving.

Both areas are fine, I actually am not a fan of the 7th anyways and would rather be near the Marais.

Tony, we suggest you consider the above. VacationInParis is a USA company with HQ in New Jersey. If you have questions click on "contact" and use their toll-free number. You could have the key to your cool Paris apartment before you leave Brunswick.
bon voyage! ...p.

Not sure if you would think about an apartment instead. I have used this site to book and apartment in Paris (we stayed near Moulin Rouge) and it was very inexpensive compared to the hotels...probably a little quieter too. Then your entire family can be in one place. I liked having a kitchen so we could go to the cheese market, buy a baguette from the bakery, have a glass of wine and enjoy it on our balcony.
the website I used was

I think they might have an American site too.
