I am looking for a hotel in the Marais district to be near family but everything seems to be full. Are there some other sources than booking.com?
What days are you in Paris?
Sept 30 - Oct 4
I've stayed twice at Le Sevigne, clean, small rooms, modern bathroom, reasonable price. Visit their website, then phone them to book, during local daytime hours when the English-speaking folks are on duty. Other sites: venere.com, hotels.com If you go through tripadvisor.com, all the internet agencies that book whatever hotel you opt for will pop up.
Barbara - I can recommend this hotel. Good location, clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast (that's pretty much my criteria): Hotel Castex 5, rue Castex 75004 Paris Phone: 011 33 142 72 31 52 Fax: 011 33 142 72 57 91 Email: [email protected]

Yikes those are prime dates, many hotels will be full, I would open up the choices a bit and look in 5th and 6th ,, you may find it hard getting a room otherwise!
Barbara, there are lots of hotels in and around Place de la Bastille (Ibis, for one) and it is not a long walk from there to the Marais, or you can take Bus No. 69 up rue St. Antoine and get off at St. Paul.
