Hi everyone,
My wife and I are going to Paris for 6 days(our first trip to Europe!) at the end of May 2010. We will be going to the French Open Tennis tournament for 2 of those days. We made a reservation at Hotel de Turenne (Rick recommendation). Does anyone know Rue Cler is easily accessible by metro/rer to Roland Garros? Also, this is an anniversary and as I said, first time to Europe. We are not high maintenance at all, but should we upgrade to Hotel Dieu (which a lot of people recommend)? Turenne is 87 euro/night, Dieu is about 135 euro. Thanks!
By metro: walk to metro Ecole Militaire, hop #8 line toward Ballard, change to #10 toward Boulonge at La Motte Picquet, hop off at Porte d'Auteuil, walk west under Peripherquie and you're there. Short walks, shorter time on metro. Half hour if you poke around.
I can see no advantage to having my eyes closed in a place that charges an extra 40 euros per night.
Thanks Ed! Appreciate the help! We will stick to Hotel de Turenne.
