Need your recommendations for hotels in the Montparnasse neighborhood of Paris. Lonely Planet & Trip Advisor recommends Hotel Agenor. Any experience?

Linda,, I would go on tripadvisor.com and read the reviews there,, and post on ta also,, there are hundreds if not thousands of posters there so you will likely recieve more specific replies there. Actually I just went on and read reviews,, most of them posted by long time members who have posted many other reviews( which means the reviews were not planted) .. seems like a decent budget choice to me and I personally wouldn't hesitate to use it.. keep in mind, the rooms are small.

Pat, thanks for your response. I really liked all of what I read on Trip Advisor for this hotel and am nearly ready to book it (although I still have quite a bit of time). I'll be sure to check their cancellation policy and be aware if & when my friends book their hotel. They are probably staying in the same vicinity of Paris and I wanted to get a place close to them.
