Need a centrally located hotel with rooms large enough for 1 adult and 2 teenagers.
My wife, son, and I were very happy with the Novotel Paris Les Halles. It is not very far from the Louvre and is clean and reputable.
Christine, You could also consider Hotels in other parts of Paris. The Louvre and other sites are so easily accessible via Metro, that I wouldn't let that dictate which area to stay in. Happy travels!
Hi! I am posting to echo Ken. The "major attractions" part of Paris is quite compact, and easily accessible by bus, by Metro, and even by walking! We always stay at l'Hotel Hameau (http://www.paris-hotel-hameaudepassy.com/). It's clean, quiet, friendly, and very affordable - check out their rates page. They have rooms that will accomodate your family. And the neighborhood is great! It's a 5-minute walk from Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower, and you can pick up a #72 bus at the foot of the hill (not a steep hill - even I can get up it easily!) that will whisk you right to the Louvre's doorstep. "Louvre" is a stop on that line.
