We are looking for a B&B or small hotel near Gare Lyon. WE are taking the day train to Florence and have an early morning departure. We would like to pay around €90. We will need a twin room. Thanks

Last year we stayed four nights at the Hotel Corail, a few blocks north of Gare de Lyon, and were happy with it. Website is www.corailparishotel.com. They have an internet rate of 84 euros for twin room. We had a sixth-floor twin (small elevator). The only problem we had was no shower curtain, but the shower was on a flexible mounting so we could use it in the tub. Breakfast is extra and didn't look very appetizing, but there are many cafes and restaurants nearby in all price ranges.

I can recommend the Citadines Bastille Gare de Lyon (closer to Gare de Lyon than Bastille), which is very close to Reuilly-Diderot metro station, one stop from GdL. It may be above your price range if you are booking in the short term, but there are discounts if you book on line in advance at www.citadines.com.
