Paris hotel near airport

My wife and I have a 20 hour layover (11 morning to 7 am next morning) in Paris. I have read postings on this site that suggest we should stay at or near the airport (Charles DeGaule). What are the hotels at Charles DeGaule? Thank you

Ibis has a property a few hundred feet from CGD. Just walk to the terminal and get on the tram to your gate. In my experience, the Ibis chain has been clean, predictable, functional, and reasonably priced. There's also a reasonably priced cafe on the premises, which is helpful.

There is a Sheraton. If you happen to have Starwood pts you can combine some pts (4,000?) plus $90 for a night.

Ibis hotels are part of the giant Accor chain which has a large number of hotels, under various brand names and at a range of price points, at or near CdG. See www.accorhotel.com Do take note that some of the places listed will be nearer the convention centre area than to the airport itself. The chain runs a free, and frequent, shuttle van to the airport Terminal Two.

We have stayed at CDG a couple of times in the last few years. We stayed at Hotel Campanile Roissy Le Mesnil Amelot. Worked out well both times. Hotel is clean and efficient. Decent breakfast and meals. They have a shuttle which runs frequently from the airport to the hotel. About a 15 minute drive as I can remember. JimP

The free Accor hotels shuttle buses that serve the hotels in the chain that are close to CDG don't start running until 05:30. With a 07:00 departure, that's too late for you. I suggest that you stay at the Ibis hotel mentioned by Sherry. It's located next to Terminal 3 and is right by the CDG 1 RER station and a stop on the free 24/7 CDGVAL driverless shuttle train that connects all the terminals. When you arrive at CDG you can take the CDGVAL to the stop by the hotel, check in, and go into Paris on the RER. Be aware that the RER B line divides northeast of Paris. When you return to CDG, be sure to get on a train that is going there.

We have stayed at the Novotel at CDG. The rooms are not terribly huge but the rooms and bathrooms are clean. Novotel is part of the Accor chain. There is a nice restuarant on site. It is also easy to get to the terminal. We have gotten fairly good rates with no change Internet reservations. If you want to go into Paris, you can easily use the RER. We have also stayed at the Sheraton when we had only two nights in Paris. We didn't want to stay in the city but could use the train. Have fun...I wish I was going back this year!
