We stay in Paris occasionally when picking up U.S. visitors with our car, near CDG. And in Paris center when traveling without our car. This time however we are picking up guests who wish to spend 3 or 4 nights in Paris while touring. Any suggestions as to non-touristy, reasonably priced hotels with parking somewhere nearby??? Thanks much, I realize this is a difficult question. Mike
A non-touristy hotel in Paris? You're kidding, right? Well, a great location away from the rue Cler crowd, but reasonably easy to drive into and out of is the area between Pont Alexander III and les Invalides. That's as central as it gets. There's a huge car park underground next to the Air France Terminal (under all the grass). Try the Hotel de laTour Maubourg. One of my former co-workers used it a couple years ago and really liked it. About 130+ euro per night. Good luck!
There are plenty of apts you could rent from private owners in that area, as well.
Studio for two in the 9th. There is a parking lot that is a 10 minute walk. http://www.vincipark.com/vincipark.nsf/fr/parcservice/pages/paris_square_danvers.htm Studio: Nadine Giblin Studio 30 sqm Paris 9e near Montmartre E-mail : [email protected]

One option you have is to pick a place to park your car where overnight parking is allowed (like at Gare du Nord) and pick your hotel separately. There are also car parks available at train stations outside the city, which would be a bit less expensive.
Thanks to all who have replied. We have now booked a place near the Jardins du Luxembourg. They have suggested a parking place very near their hotel, and the hotel is off the beaten path. Thanks again for all your comments.
