Paris guided tour in a Citroen 2CV

I have booked to visit Paris for a week at the end of June next year. I am also a Citroen fan and note that a 1.5 hour tour of Paris' best known monuments (Notre dame, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe,Champs Elysees, the Madelaine, Opera, Place de la Concorde and Eiffel Tower) may be had in a chauffeur driven Citroen 2CV.Has anyone done this tour and would they recommend it. I will be accompanied by my two kids aged 20 and 15, which makes the price quite expensive, as the brochure I have quotes 155 Australian dollars per adult (currently 97 Euros). I realise the hop on/off city sightseeing bus is much cheaper and covers the same sights, so does the 2CV tour offer something special to make the extra cost a worthwhile alternative? Of course you would have to be a 2CV nut to even consider this (which I am, although I don't own one), but the impressions/recommendations of someone who has done this would be very much appreciated.
Thank you,

That does sound kind of pricey. Have you considered one of the many walking tours in Paris, or bike tour or even a Segway tour? Those Citroens are everywhere, and perhaps as a fan, you could meet up with other fans. I have a friend here in Germany that does that when he goes to other countries and he always has a good time.

Jo, thanks for your email. Yes, I intend to go on a number of the Paris Walks tours.
And unless someone writes in and says the Citroen tour is absolutely fabulous and the driver extremely informative, I doubt I'll go in the 2CV, because as you say, it's very pricey.

Hello,

Thanks Bruce for your message! Hope you had a good time in Paris. I'm a Parisian driver for Paris Authentic and i'm so sorry to read your message only now. I know Rick and he did one of our tours few month ago. It will be on the new guide book. For the futur readers I can just advise you to visit our web site and feed backs. The experience is so different, fun and french form the bus sightseeing. I adapte my tours to be personal and custom made. I don't know how are the other drivers but for me it's a moment of sharing my life in Paris with travellers from all over the world... and of course we come to pick you up at your hotel.

It's really worth it and start form 80€ for one car.

if you have any request about the concept do not hestitate to write me at [email protected]. It wil be a pleaser to answer.

all the best, "et vive la deudeuch!!!"

Hi Sebastian, thanks for your email re the 2CV tours. Yes, it's a pity I didn't read your friendly email before I left for Paris, but I've now returned to Australia after having a wonderful time in Paris.
Perhaps next time I'll ride in a 2CV.

Best wishes,

Bruce Boldner.
