In June I will need to go from the Bercy train station in Paris to CDG airport. Maybe someone can confirm the following for me: It is my understanding that I can catch the Metro at the Bercy stop & take line #14 to the Chalelet metro stop. From there I transfer to the RER-B train at Chatelet les Halles to the CDG airport. Is this correct? Is there any other transfer I need to make? Thank you kindly.
You got it, just make sure you get on an RER going to CDG, the B3 train. Platform train board will show this.
Thank you, Sam. I appreciate it.
Personally, I would take Line 6 Dir: Charles de Gaulle Etoile, then RER B3 Dir: Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV. ONE transfer, and NO Chatelet (= zoo). One and done. However you go, just take RER B3 Dir: CDG2-TGV. If you're interested, this might help. The photo guides on this site are soooo helpful! EDIT: I've just realized that I didn't mention where it is that there is only one correspondance to make with this route - at Denfert Rochereau. 6 stops on Line 6, then RER B all the way to CDG2-TGV. Just Be Sure you take RER B 3 Dir: CDG2-TGV and not RER B 5 (or anything else)!
Thank you, Eileen!
I'd stick with the 14, get off second stop at Chatelet (my favorite!) The 6 takes six stops to Denfert-Rochereau and you're still four RER stops from Chatelet. 14 goes faster too.
"I'll take the low road and you take the high road..."
or stroll over to Gare de Lyons hop the northbound "D" RER two stops to Gare du Nord and pop onto the B3 for the airport... Just goes to show there is more than one way to skin a cat - or an RATP
Or stroll to Gare de Lyon and take the Air France bus to CDG.
I can appreciate that alternate train/metro lines can get you to the same destination. It's a matter of preference, convenience & habit. In my case, if at the end of the day my wife & I are would rather spend our time with that last bottle of good wine, we just might take a taxi to CDG. Thanks again, everyone, for your suggestions. If you happen to be on the Nivernais Canal from June 6-20, stop by the boat & enjoy an adult beverage with us. Sante!
"In my case, if at the end of the day my wife & I are would rather spend our time with that last bottle of good wine, we just might take a taxi to CDG." BINGO!!! And there's your answer 8^D You didn't need us... (just get there 3 hours before departure time, or you'll be drinking a lot more wine...But in Paris! But at the Airport! But it's French wine! OK, I'm going now...) For Sam: There's only one correspondance - at Line 6 and RER B at Denfert Rochereau. That baby goes all the way to CDG2-TGV. You just sit tight at Chatelet...And with luggage, I 'correspond' as little as possible...
