Can anyone suggest a small hotel in the 8E for under $200.00/per night? Nice and clean with bakery nearby?

It's been several years, but I have stayed at Hotel d'Argenson in the 8th. It's family run, inexpensive and very clean. I've stayed there 3 times and have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. The only reason I haven't stayed there on my more recent trips is that the friends I have been with have preferred an area with a more lively night scene. The 8th is pretty quiet at night.

Go to www.heart-of-paris-hotels.com, click on the area you want to stay, the 8th, and contact hotels directly. You will find the perfect place.... since most are in fact, perfect. It's Paris, after all...... For reviews, go to www.tripadvisor, then to Paris Fourm and ask the posters there about any hotels you might want.

I really liked Hotel Cervantes (19 rue de Berne | 08 Arr., 75008 Paris, France). It's really close to a metro stop, is a quiet neighborhood, and has nearby food shops, bakeries, and restaurants.
