Lots of sights are free for our 17 year old in Paris, but which attractions will charge a fee?
Since we have no idea what you might be interested in, and there are literally thousands of venues in Paris, maybe you could google the things you are interested in and see what their websites tell you. Just a thought.
Those which are not free. Do you want us to go through all the dozens or hundreds of attractions in Paris and come up with a list for you? Have you checked the websites of those attractions you are interested in?
Good point..... Major venues that use the Museum Pass are the ones I'm interested in. I'm not sure if my 17 year old would need one. Are most of those (without giving you a comprehensive list) free for a 17 year old?
Why yes Nigel, I do expect you to do that, and make it snappy please, I don't have much time.
Yeah,Nigel, get a move on.
Wow--I can't wait to see that list! To the question: if a site accepts the Paris Museum pass, your 17 year old will get in free. When we purchased adult passes (at the Orangerie, in our case), our kids were given a special "kid pass" to use at further admission points. Many places asked to see their "kid passes," even though they were free. A few places, such as the Gardens at Versailles, charge extra, but you'll just need to look up the places you are interested in to see about that.
There are very few places that charge for a child under 18 ( make sure you bring his id) . Eiffel Tower will charge.
Catacombs will charge. I can't remember paying for any other places when I took my kids .
Thanks, and I realized my initial question was a little vague, but certainly appreciate your response based on my clarification.
