Paris

We are spending 1 evening and 2 full days in Paris. Please give me feedback on my selfmade itinerary: Arriving from Nice by train around 5-6. Take the 2cv car tour or the floodlit taxi tour. Day 1, am - Paris walk - start with Notre Dame (tour?), Isle St. Louis, Latin quarter and Sainte Chapelle Day 1, pm - take the RER suburban train to Versailles(palace and gardens tour with lunch in the gardens) Evening - dinner cruise on the Seine Day 2, am - walk from Arc de Triomphe down Champ Elysees to Tulleries Garden Day 2, pm - Montmartre walk - Sacre Coeur bailica
Evening - dinner at restaurant with a city view and of the Eiffel Tower On Day 1, thinking of switching am,pm plans and going to Versailles in the morning - read that might be a better way to do it Would you recommend the 2cv car tour or the floodlit taxi tour for the first evening? A recommendation for lunch on day 2 and nice view restaurant for dinner Are we trying to do too much in the time we have? Not big on museums, but suggestions for something special we shouldn't miss are welcome. Thankyou!

Skip taxi tour idea, yech, traffic ,, try the Fat Tire Bike Tour, the Paris by Night,, its super fun, its super easy( I did it when I was 45 and hadn't been on a bike since I was a teen) and it includes a night cruise on the Siene.
No prebooking needed, simply meet at south foot ( Pilar Sud) of Eiffel Tower at 7pm. Easy peasy,, really, mean it.

Yes, I would suggest that you tour Versailles in the morning. The travel back and forth and the immense size of the palace make for a very full tour; you don't want to be tired when you start out. Perhaps you could do the Champ Elysees walk on the evening of the first day instead. It is beautifully lit in the evening. Also, I suggest a self-tour of Notre Dame and strongly suggest that you alot plenty of time for Sainte Chapelle in the early morning when the light is falling through the stained glass...an incredible sight to behold.

Be realistic, realize that Versailles is going to take up the majority if your day. For a 2 day trip I'd skip it.
