We are thinking of traveling to Paris in either May or June and are wondering what impact the French tennis open has on the city. Are the hotels more expensive? Are the main sites and museums busier? We are not interested in attending the tournament. Thanks!
Almost no effect, as most folks attending the tournament will be locals. Big cities like Paris always have something going-on be it a sporting event, convention, or conference...most of time we're oblivious to it;)
Except for the headlines on the newspapers, you'd never know the difference.
We were there...and did not notice that the French Open was in process, except when we turned on the TV later in the week. The same thing occurred this year during Wimbleton in London.
