Given the choice, would you avoid Paris during the Auto Show, or would you not notice the increase in people while you go about your normal touristy routines? Accomodations will not be a problem for us, just wondering if it would be a time to avoid if this is your first trip to Paris.

Don't worry about it. Every major city has there own auto show. It's not going to have an impact on hotels, or crowds at toruist sites.

I wouldn't worry it. I have been in Paris for the auto show and a number of other times. The Auto Show is out in the suburbs and has no real impact on crowds in the city.
