Paris during Thanksgiving

I'm traveling solo to Paris for one week from 11/23-11/30/10, Staying in an apt on Ile Saint Louis. Your best "to do" and "don't miss" recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have visited before, last time 6 years ago. Thank you

My two favorite things to do in Paris: the Luxembourg Gardens and walking...particularly around Ile Saint Louis (my favorite neighborhood in Paris - just spent a month there in an apartment - loved it!), Ile de la Cite and all along the river, through the Tuileries Gardens then back along the river to Notre Dame. Enjoy!

If you have already done most of the big museums and sights (Notre Dame, Sacre Couer, Eiffel Tower), on your last trip and don't have any intention of revisting, spend some time strolling the neighborhoods and parks, open air flea markets and food markets, and smaller museums and galleries. The Catacombs and Pere Lachaise, while a little morbid, are really great to see. Deyrolle was excellent, but a fire a few years ago destroyed a large part of their collection and I'm not sure how much they now have on display. If you didn't get out of the city to visit Versailles on the last trip, you may want to try to do that on a day with nice weather so you can stroll through the gardens after you tour the palace. Anthony Bourdain just did his 100th episode of "No Reservations" on The Travel Channel from Paris. He ate at so many amazing looking restaurants if I was going to Paris in November I'd want to try all of them. You can probably see that episode On Demand or you can get a list of the restaurants he visited at The Travel Channel's website.

I just thought of two more recommendations...During our time in Paris this summer we went to the Musee Nissim de Camondo, next to Parc Monceau. I highly recommend it if you haven't been... It was the home of a wealthy Jewish family from the 1800's to the 1930's... It was really good...Also, we loved Vaux le Vicomte, a day trip outside Paris... it's great.
