My husband is a Disney fanatic (ok the kids are too!). Is it worth spending a day at Paris Disney or will we be disappointed? Thanks.
Margaret
If you are Disney fan, a trip DL Paris is a must. Be advised that there are two parks with separate admission: Disneyland Paris (similar to the Magic Kingdom) and Studios Park (similar to the MGM park). There is a train station located near Cinderella's Castle so its easy to reach via public transport. There are even direct Eurostar/Thalys trains from London, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
Margaret - we were there in 2004 with kids aged 8 & 13 - even though it was raining we had a great time! It is a little smaller than Disneyland. Some of the rides are the sames (Pirates of the Carribean) some are different (Indiana Jones is a roller coaster that rides backwards!).
As you walk around you'll hear a United Nations worth of languages.
We were on a monthlong journey and for the kids this was a nice break from castles, cathedrals and museums.
I would go again.
Have fun.
Hi Margaret, I'm 35 and my Mom and I were there in January. We loved it and giggled like kids the whole time. We were in Paris for 10 days and found it worth while to take a day at Disney.
Thanks, that's all I needed to hear! Margaret
Dissenter here. I took 14 yr old there two years ago, we bought a two day pass( it was only 2 euros more for two day pass) and we only used one day and this was my SONS choice. . I have been to Disneyland in Anahiem,, so I was not terribly impressed with DP, seemed not quite as nice.
Since a two day pass is only slightly more its not a big deal,, but frankly, it just wasn't as fun as D Anahiem.
I do think it may be a nice break from musuems and such if you are travelling with kids,, so why not.
