We are in Paris and are having a time trying to find discount tics to museums tours. Transortation. We would also love suggestions on favorite areas and restaurants. And shopping.

The biggest advantage of the Paris Museum Pass is that you can skip the ticket line at most of the popular museums and monuments. Over the course of three days, this can free up hours of your time.

We just returned from a month in France. The Museum Pass is wonderful in Paris and allows you to visit so many jewels for a great price. Just a note on the "skipping" the line thing. Most museums have two lines. One to purchase your tickets and another to enter the museum. Indeed, you may skip the purchase line...but this is not like a Disney "Fast Pass" where you can walk ahead of other ticket holders in the "entry" line. This is not that big a deal...except at Versailles. With that said, beware that the "purchase" and "entry" line at Versailles can scare the walking shoes off you! It is very, very long!!! My advice would be to visit Versailles as early as possible in the morning.
Last note: We found that we had to present our museum pass more than once during the course of entry and security checks...so keep it handy.

Thank you for the Versailles tips. Anytime you can save time it gives you more time for something else you might have missed.

It was nice of you to take the time. We really appreciate it.

Related question - almost. Is there a place to buy the museum pass - with the transportation benefits - at train stations? We're coming into Paris for a couple of days thru Gare L'Est and need to metro to our hotel. Is there a place there, or nearby, where we could get the pass before going downtown? Thanks.

You can by the Paris viste pass or the t+ 10 tics for $12 euro at the metro station that leaves from the station that you arrive in. What I understand about the museum pass you can buy it at any of the included museums. Metro is so easy and fast and stops within close walking distance of all the museums. Have fun:)

Just found out they sell museum pass at most train stations. You will need to ask where the booth that sells them is.

Thanks. I'll research the pass at Gare L'Est.
