Paris Dinner Locations

When you say "best dinner locations", do you mean best for the quality of food, the affordable prices or the actual location of the restaurant? What kind of food would your group prefer and what is the budget?

My best tip for this is to consult the new book from Clotilde Dusoulier, "Clotilde's Edible Adventures In Paris." She writes the wonderful Chocolate & Zucchini blog, and knows some of the best places to eat in Paris - and shares her knowledge in this well-written and enjoyable tome. Clotilde lives in the Montmartre area, and spent a couple of years in the States, so her writing style is very accessible (she did all her own translation for the English version).

We tried five or six places listed in the book, from patisseries to cafés to full restaurants, and her descriptions were accurate. She even lists places that are more friendly to vegetarians (a tough lifestyle to follow in France, world-aware Paris included).

The book can be found at most bookstores, Powells.com or Amazon.com, and is well worth the price.
