On Conciergerie.com, I saw a PAris combo pass that includes both the museaums as well as all in-Paris public transportaion. Haven't completely analyzed it, but it seems to make more sense than just the museum pass. ANyone had any experience with it?
Paris combo pass for two days is 59 Euro. Paris Museum Pass for two days is 32 Euro. So for 27 Euro extra, you get a Seine river cruise (about 10 Euro per person otherwise) and 17 Euro worth of free Paris transportation. That works out to about 14 trips on the bus or metro over two days.....you won't do 14 bus/metro journeys in two days in Paris, since it's a good walking city. All in all, not a good deal, especially if you have no intention of taking the Seine river cruise.
Many thanks!
I agree with Norm. Buy a Paris Museum Pass for as many days as you need. Depending upon how many days you'll be in Paris, buy either transportation passes or ten-ticket carnets separately. If you like to walk, sharing tickets from carnets works very well. For a list of all your transportation ticket and pass choices, with links to detailed explanations of each one, go here.
