Does anyone know about traveling to Paris on Armistice Day (11/11)? Is the town closed down? Are sights closed, or shops? Thanks...

Shops are groceries will be closed, but sights will vary. Typically the Arc de Triomphe will be closed part of the day for ceremonial purposes.
Museums will most likely be closed - Louvre for example will be - which typically means all the smaller ones will be too.
The Eiffel Tower however is always open.
I usually suggest checking the websites for the museums etc - typically they will have details if they will be open or not.
