I will be going to Notre Dame and Le St. Chapelle in Paris and want to know if jeans are allowed?

Jeans are OK but usually no shorts or above the knee skirts, no bare shoulders, and be careful about cleavage.

Not sure about French cathedrals, but many in Europe require shoulders to be covered, i.e., no spaghetti strap shirts.

In Paris spagetti straps are fine in churches,, its not like Italy at all. And since St Chapelle as been decommissioned its not really even a real church anymore.

My husband wore shorts in both places with no problems. He wears shorts everywhere if the temperature is above 55. He is not aware of the bias against shorts on this site and wouldn't care if he was. : )
