Hi Bob

We took the Metro from the train station to our hotel in the Rue Cler (Hotel Muguet) with no problems, other than the usual one of wrestling with luggage in the Metro. There's a handy Metro stop called Ecole Militaire that is right on Ave. La Motte Piquet.

However...that being said...wrestling with luggage on the Metro is not fun AT ALL...especially if you are tired, sore, old, a child, or impaired in some way. There are lots of stairs to deal with in the Metro...and can be lots of walking and stairs especially when doing transfers. Some stations have escalators but I found them more often not working than working. The Ecole Militaire station is very small and the stairs aren't bad at all.

It might be a good idea to take an airport shuttle from your hotel when leaving for the airport. I think mine cost about $40 and I felt it was worth the money....esp since it was SOOOO early when I left and it picked me up right at my hotel front door. Your hotel can book for you
