Last year when we were in France, we had a hard time finding what we thought was poorly marked bus to Gare d'Lyon from CDG airport. We will be at CDG in June for a 8 day stay in an apartment in the area of St Michel Metro stop. What bus number should we look for at CDG for Gare d'Lyon? We can then walk to Gare d'Austerlits for a metro St. Michel. Thanks, Dorsey
I assume you're talking about Air France bus #4 that goes from CDG to Gare de Lyon and then to Gare Montparnasse. The fare on the Air France bus to Gare de Lyon is €16.50 and the fare on the RER C (not the Metro) from Gare d'Austerlitz to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame is €1.60.
Why not simply take the RER B directly from CDG to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame? You'll save both time and money. The travel time is 40 minutes and the fare is €8.50.
The information given above about Bus No. 351 should be disregarded. It does not go to Gare de Lyon, and the pick-up details are incorrect.
Hi Dorsey,
There is a MUCH easier way!
Just take the RER Line B from CDG direct to St. Michel/Notre Dame RER/Metro stop. After you've claimed your baggage just follow the signs to "Paris par train."
Et voila, vous êtes chez vous!
(And you're home)
Bon Voyage!
Bill
