Paris - Carte Orange vs. carnet

We have our Carte Orange cards from a 2008 trip. Are these 'rechargeable' or do we need to get new ones?

I recall that the Carte Orange was valid on a fixed-week basis (beginning on a Monday) - is that still the case?

Since we will be arriving/departing on a Wed. would a carnet (10 pack) be a better option for this visit?

We have some individual carnet tickets, from 2008. Would those still be good?
