Paris Caberet Shows: Moulin Rouge, Lido, or Latin?

My husband and I are making a return trip to Paris in late August, and want to go to one of those great caberet shows one night. Which is best: The Moulin Rouge, The Lido, or the Paradis Latin? Other? Which (travel/tourism) site has the best booking deals? Dinner with the show, or just champagne? Are they really worth the $$?
We're only going to do this once, and want the best possible experience, without breaking the bank!
Any advice is appreciated!

I've never heard of the Paradis, but have been to the other two and would not return to either; I'd rate the Lido much better however.

Where I would go back, however, would be the Lapin Agile. They serve no food -- or at least did not when I was last there.

I saw the Moulin Rouge last September. I did not think that it was worth the money (about 90 euro each). The tables were crowded, the sight lines difficult at times and the preformace was just mediocore. In hindsight, I think we would have been better off to wander by for pictures and find a nice restaurant to spend our money!

Andrea,

I was on a tour group a few years ago on which one of the optional excursions was an evening trip to the Moulin Rouge. Everyone who went reported it to be not worth the money, and so I'm not surprised that posters here are saying the same thing.

OK, then does anyone know of a good Karaoke Club?! If I'm going to sing along, I want to sing the words from a monitor, and I want to hold the microphone!!

May heaven forgive me for knowing this:

Rue Mouffetard, double digits, about a half block north of the library. I have no idea of the name of the place, but you can hear it.

The Mouff is one of the all-time great streets in he city except for the darn ......

Edit: the place has a sign about pizza on the front, still can't think of the name.
