Paris: Best Museum passes and transportation combos

5 adults in Paris for 3 days. We'll visit typical sights and use the Metro. 3rd day may be Versailles. What are the best options for a combo pass or museum pass. Would like to avoid waiting in lines too.

The museum pass has to be used consecutively. I don't think its a money saver, but it definitely IS a time saver. So if you equate time as money, the museum pass is worth it.

You can get the museum pass at any TI or at the museum.

Some people here purchase the metro pass, but it works best if you know you'll be using the metro/bus a lot. We enjoy walking so we got the carnet 10 pack. You get 10 individual little tickets and can use them when ever you want. That worked best for the 3 of us, but the tickets are tiny... so bring a small coin envelope or something like that.

Hi Clint, We're in Paris now. Just purchased the Paris Museum pass for 4 days..45 E's/person. It allows you in museums, etc. for 4 consecutive days. Today we
went to Musee Orsay, & the Rodin...It allows you into the Louvre, Versailles
(most of it), Orangerie, and many more...You can go into as many museums
etc. as you'd like in 4 days. They also sell the 2 day pass for I think 30 or 35 E's.

We didn't have to wait in lines...and bypass people waiting to pay at the Rodin.

The lst Sunday of each month several places offer free entrance..Louvre,
and I think the Orsay, etc.

Buying the museum pass and a train ticket to Versailles will be cheaper than the combo ticket.
