Paris at night

We would like a suggested tour company for a night illumination tour, including going to the Moulin Rouge in Paris.

Carl, If you don't have trouble walking or getting around, try doing it yourself! We found that Paris is just as fun to walk around at night as it is during the day. Another idea, try the Batobus river bus. So nice to kick your anching feet up andwatch Paris slide by as the river bus floats you up/down the Seine! They do have limited evening/night hours... more during the peak of summer. Great!
(Sorry about not having any company names for you)

I am not endorsing a bus tour or a visit to Moulin Rouge,,, both highly overated, but in the interest of being helpful I will tell you that Cityrama is one of the big bus tour companies that offers such tours and is considered reliable and reputable.. you can easily google for their website. What I would suggest is a nighttime cruise of the Siene, the views of the bridges and monuments lit up from the water is very nice, and about 12-14 euros a lot cheaper then a bus tour. Vendettes Pont Neuf offers such.. another suggestion is a dinner cruise on Calife Cruises.. nice smaller boats, good reviews, decent food.

I have enjoyed my on-line chats with the customer service person at www.localers.com. I happened upon them while looking for a chocolate tour and ended up booking 3 other tours with them. They actually were able to convince the guide for the chocolate tours to schedule an extra tour to accommodate us during her off week. This certainly sounds like an endorsement, but I have no firsthand knowledge. Reviews on www.tripadvisor.com are fantastic which is why I booked with them. Here is the link to their Paris Night Tour: http://www.localers.com/day-tours/paris-night-tour.

When are you going to be there? Because Paris is farther north than the U.S. (Alaska excepted), sunset in spring and summer is later. I also think you could go on your own to the Moulin Rouge. I really enjoyed the Fat Tire Segway evening tour. They have bike tours too. these are better than a bus tour, you stop along the way which allows you to take photos and enjoy the beauty, instead of whizzing past on a tou bus. And an evening cruise on the Seine is an excellent idea.
