I've visited Paris during the summer months and wanted to go this Christmas but not sure what to expect.....is there much to do and see or should I move my trip to this spring.
There are several items that happen in Paris for the holidays that make the City of Lights magical during this winter time.
Many Christmas markets open in the city.
Lights are put up everywhere, Gallerie Lafayette, Champs Elysees, each neighborhood will light streets etc.
Winter Festival is set up at Place de Concorde - last year a big ferris wheel etc.
Having spent last Christmas in Paris, I would say there's probably more to do at this time than the spring. Crowds aren't as bad as the summer, but heavier than most other non-summer months.
