Greetings: Looking to rent an apartment in Paris from December 26 to January 4. Need assistance with agencies specializing in this area. Would like to stay in the 8th arri Familiar with the following websites: vrbo.com; vacationinparis.com; and parisattitude.com. During previous research I seem to remember there is an american company located in New Jersey that specializes in paris rentals, but cannot remember the name. Would prefer to have the keys before leaving for Paris. I would greatly appreciate any advise the traveling community can offer. Also, we are two single females and need a 2 bedroom apartment. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Debbie

Debbie I strongly recommend Parisbestlodge, the owner/manager is very nice, speaks immpeccable english, meets you at the apartment ( the keys are there in a lock box and you recieve the code before you arrive, great no need to worry about forgetting or losing keys, way better way to do it) . He shows you how to work stuff( some of his apartments have a laptop in them, and most have washers and dryers, those funny french ones that are different then ours!) He also will tell you closest stores and bakeries. Don't think he has anything in the eighth , but I myself would prefer the 4th 5th and 6th.
PS He also does not make you pay up front like many other places do, all your money tied up months and months in advance, I hate that ! Seriously pm if you have any questions .
During previous research I seem to remember there is an american company located in New Jersey that specializes in paris rentals, but cannot remember the name. The NJ company is vacationinparis.com. I've rented from them twice and have been very pleased. I would suggest that you email or call them and see what they have available. You might have better luck if you broaden your search beyond just the 8th.
Is there a particular reason you want to stay in the 8th?
When I was last in Paris in 2007 I stayed in the 8th and thought it would be a good starting point. However, I am very open to suggestions and appreciate the help. Thanks Debbie
