Paris apartment recommendation/suggestions needed

Hi,
I was thinking of renting an aptmt. from www.rentalfrance.com (Pascal Zytomirski). Has anyone rented an aptmt. from him? If so, did you have a positive
experience? If not, why? The aptmt. I'm interested in is:
Rue des Chartreaux near the Luxembourg Gardens in the 6th AR. Thanks in advance.

I rented an apartment from VRBO (vacation rentals by owner) in the Marais for two weeks last fall. It was great. Their website has almost too many choices, but I was pleased. It was especially great, as the owner was American and I just sent him a check--did not have to mess with currency conversion.

Hi Shirl,
I can't really answer your question but just wanted to say that I'm going back to Paris in June and I rented an apartment from Vacation In Paris as well. They seem really good and professional and they have nice, decently priced apartments (but they book fast). The best part is, they courier you the key so you don't have to worry about getting there on time to meet somebody, etc. Many of their apartments include internet and even long distance and I think they all include a bottle of wine waiting for you upon your arrival. You can check out their website: www.vacationinparis.com I believe. I got a little studio right around the corner from Place St. Michel and because it's a new listing for them they had a special, only $145 US per night.

We also had a great experience renting an apt through vacationinparis. You pay for it in US dollars which helps keep the cost down. We especially liked talking with their reps getting extra information on the apt we were considering. Will rent from them again for sure.

We used www.vacationinparis 2 years ago. we had key in hand before we left the US. No problems what so ever. Can't remember what number rental it was, but the one on their web site called"Best Views on Paris" is where we stayed. PERFECT It was next door to the Louvre and the Sein River. 1 block from underground and water transport. 6th floor w/ elevator w/ balcony looking at Tower Eiffel. Good neighborhood.bakery farmers market etc. Notre Dame is just a walk along the Sein away from the apt. If you are in any kind of good health, you won't need a car at all. We found the apartment to be just as advertised. We would use the company again, and definately stay at the apt. Feel free to e-mail with other Paris questions. Not expert, but had such a great experience.

I highly recommend:

myparisdream.com

We had neighbors recommend it to us after using it. It is owned by an American couple, Bill and Julie, from San Diego, I believe. They will have one of there people meet you with the key, at the time you arrive, if your early just grab a coffee at one of the 3 cafes less than a block away (decent salads too!) . Great location, near Bio (organic) grocery and right at a metro entrance. Has a kitchen which worked great for making a small meal. Quiet when windows are closed. Can walk to Notre Dame (1.5 miles). They were great. Even let us add a couple of Days to our trip stay late in the game. Worth every cent.

You are best advised to stay away from usaparis.com as well as their other shells - imarketers.net and usavacationhomes.net. They misrepresent their properties, lie on their websites and on the phone, and their contracts are basically illegal. They also post fake positive reviews - they are definitely not the place for apartment rentals in Paris.

I have rented from Pascal and referred many satisfied customers to him. He is totally honest. He met me at the apartment and explained how everything works.

No problems. If I were to return to Paris again, I would rent from him again.

I am renting (for 6 weeks) the Rue St Paul apartment from Pascal next week. All my dealings with him so far have been excellent. I have only heard positive remarks, on various websites, about him.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

Thanks very much for your comments. I've already been to Paris in June and stayed at the Pont Neuf
aptmt. in the 6th AR with www.parisholidayapts.com.
It was nice, & quiet in a lovely area close to St.
Michel blvd. and the Latin Quarter as well as
Notre Dame.

Pascal...I'm glad you've have good dealings with him..because although he gave me quotes via email
and I thought we had the arrangement agreed upon..
price, dates, etc....he didn't answer emails for
several days...and then decided that the aptmt.
was BOOKED (although his VRBO.com website showed
that the dates were still avail for quite some time).
so, my feeling was he was not up front in his
dealings, etc...that's just my opinion...good luck
and hope you have a nice stay in his aptmt.

We have also rented from Vacation in Paris. Last year and next year we are renting from I Love Paris Apartments -- an apt on rue St. Andre des Arts, just around the corner from the St. Michel fountain in the 6th arr. Great location! Very nice apts.

Shirl,

While Pascal was emailing you he either had someone else interested in the apartment or it was booked - until you receive the emailed contract, its not a done deal, so I expect the others got in first.
Pascal does not update the calendar immediately and it took a couple of weeks before our booking showed up.
Happy travels.

We just came back from a very pleasant stay at VRBO #55374 (2 BR/2 BA Rue Cler Area) and really couldn't have enough good things to say about it. Great location, great apartment (we are a family of 6 - plenty of room to feel comfortable), would love to rent it again if we return. Pascal was professional and his assistant even waited for us until we arrived, which was later than the agreed time due to transportation. Rent with confidence.
