Paris: Apartment in the 3e?

We will be in Paris for 6 days the first week of June and are looking at renting an apartment Has anyone stayed in the 3e and is familiar with this area? The apartment we are looking at is on Rue de Beauce. Is this a good area to stay in? This is my first trip to Paris and my husband was last there as a teen.
