Has anyone ever used the website clickapart to rent an apartment in Paris? I found one I am interested in but wanted to check reviews before booking. Thanks!
Diana I helped a friend rent an apartment last summer ( 2012) and it was from Clickapart, she said it was absolutely fine.. had no issues. It was in the 14th ( near Montparnasse) and it was a 3rd floor walk up.
I am sorry can't remember exactly which one.
From what I understand clickapart apartments are owned individually so your experiences seem to be dictated by the type of owner the apartment you choose has..
I suggest you go on tripadvisor.com paris forums and post the apartment numbers you are particularily interested in.. people have booked those specific apartments can weight on.. or simply google " review of clickapart apartment" and see what pops up.
I can tell you I have used Parisbestlodge and their apartments are lovely, exactly as pictured, clean , well located and the people there are wonderful. good rental terms , and they meet you at the apartment , show you how to use all the stuff etc.. Theirry and Eric speak perfect english too. I rented the Esmeralda and loved it, but it did have one set of steep narrow stairs so not good for mobility impaired but the other apartments in that building have elevator access and they all have lovely views of notre dame.
I used http://www.clickappart.com/index/index/language/en two years ago to rent a studio on rue de la Roquette. Both the apartment and the service were satisfactory. All dealings were with the agency, not the apartment owner. A representative checked me in to the apartment and briefed me on its features. I had a few questions later about the WiFi and the combo washer-dryer, which were answered by phone. I also liked being able to put the advance deposit on my credit card.
