looking to rent apartment in Paris....have several options. one apartment is located on the Ile de la cite. not sure if this would be a good location vs an apartment on Rue de Vieille. staying 5 nites and sightseeing..wanting a "paris local atmosphere".

Personally, I'd much rather be on Ile de la Cite (island in middle of Paris where Notre Dame is) than on rue du Vielle Temple. I couldn't find a rue de Vielle on my map, only rue du Vielle Temple - is that the one you meant?

Kim I am with Susan,, Ile de la cite would be a great location. It helps if you can post links to apartments, you would be surprised what others can see in rental in terms of advantages or disadvantages.
Also name of agency you are using, there are so many good ones, and unfortunately a few bad ones.
