I would say definitely stay in the 7th near Rue Cler. The neighborhood is amazing and a great location to the main sites. I stayed at Hotel Royal Phare. It was a single room so I am not sure how big the triple rooms are. However, no AC. But it was cool enough with the windows open.

I agree with the Rue Cler suggestion-have stayed at the Best Western Eiffel Park two times. I don't know if they have triples, but check their web site. Nice, small hotel with friendly staff-great location. I know it sounds so corporate, but I have found it to be quite lovely.

In April 2007 we stayed at the Hotel Muget a couple blocks from rue Cler neighborhood. We spent 6 nights.
Triple rooms are available. The hotel has recently been remodeled. The hotel is listed in Rick's Paris or France book. We would stay there again. The breakfast is not quite up to American breakfasts, but there are several good breakfast options nearby.

Hi Marilyn,

Last September we stayed in Paris on Rue Cler in Rick’s recommended Hotel du Champ de Mars (http://www.hotel-du-champ-de-mars.com/). I checked and they do offer triples for a rate of 106 Euro a night. We LOVED this hotel. The staff wasn’t overly friendly, as many posters point out, but they were nice when we asked questions. The hotel is adorable. The rooms are very small, but it’s decorated really cute. It’s on Rue Cler which is within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. There are tons of Rick’s recommended restraints in this area (our favorite was Chez Agnes), and in the morning the street is a bustling market where you can buy picnic items to eat at the park in front of the Eiffel tower. It’s also very close to the Ecole Miliataire (spelled wrong, I’m sure!) metro stop. Check out euro cheapo’s review for more pictures: http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/hotel/hotel-du-champ-de-mars.html. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

Hi Marilyn,
Perhaps, just perhaps the Hotel Esmeralda has a 'triple' room, but we do not doubt you should give consideration to taking a room there in any event.

This hotel is located directly across the Seine from Notre Dame .. and is considered a bargain at the prices charged.

But just read the critiques - at this web site:
