paris airport taxis

hello! We are looking into the easiest way of getting from the Paris ORY airport to our apartment in Paris. We would love to be greeted by a driver holding a signboard!

Has anyone had any experience with this?

I have looked at Paris-shuttle.com, ParisShuttle, and Taxicab Paris.

Are there any companies that you all have loved? or that I should avoid?

Thanks!

Depending upon how many people are in your group, it could be easier to just take a taxi in. The shuttles can be expensive and there's really no need to be met by someone with a signboard when you know taxis will be waiting for you at the curb. But take the "Taxis Parisien". They're licensed.

If I take a shuttle - which is rare from Orly because it is a quick ride in with the Orly Bus into Paris - I usually take Paris Shuttle (www.parisshuttle.com)

You can book online and I believe they have an option where you can request and Enlgish speaking driver.

Do note that if you have lots of people and luggage you will get charged extra for the extra bags.

There have been many discussions about shuttles etc - on the helpline - give a little search for more info.

My wife and I were there last summer and rented a car since we were in 4 countries. If we were going to visit Paris only, we would plan on taking the subway from the airport to our lodging. Many do it and it's easy. You are only intimidated for a short time. It's pretty easy to figure out.

Ask the company you are renting your apartment from. I, too, am renting an apartment, and my person said he would be able to arrange such service. I am sure that yours can too.
