Sure you can do Paris for even less than a euro a day - Denfert-Rochereau Ossuary - over a million can't be wrong!

Hi Jay,

... The above link is Tom's Guide to Paris. It may help you estimate the least amount you might spend per day. If you still have questions, you should send an email to Tom (free, of course). To email your questions just click on Tom's CONTACT ME icon.

Hi Jay,

... after sending you the above note, I began to consider how a person might arrange things to spend almost nothing - and still enjoy a trip.

... Surely, there are religious institutions in Paris where you could work for your room and board - and I suggest you research it, beginning on the web at www.google.com, but visiting local religious administrators in Oakville, too, if any, as well... vaya con Dios! P

One of the downsides to the food price increases globally is that Paris has seen the cost of the Baguette has risen to 1.30 - so one can't even live on bread alone for under a Euro.

1€ per day?

I was thinking about a monastery near paris that offered spiritual retreats, www.solesmes.com thinking that it might be a way to have free room and board. But even there it is 30EUR per day! Of course that could be negotiable

For transportation, renting a velib bicycle is free for 30 minutes. Then the next 30 is 1€ I think.

On the other hand, if you play guitar and sing ... very well ... you can go for free and play in the metro, then anything is possible
