Anita,, in Paris, they are pretty smart/sharp about that stuff, don't know if you will find deals, but you may find something wonderful.. good luck.

We love the Porte de Vanves flea market .....every Saturday and Sunday morning. get there early. metro is Porte de Vanves. Porte de Clingencourt is really expensive and huge...also open Saturday and Sunday.This one will take a while...many buildings.

Try the auction house, Hotel Drouot, not far from the Opera.

Don't know if it's still there; last shopped there in 2003. Le Cygne Rose on Rue St. Paul, I think in the Village St. Paul, owned by a British woman. My favorite purchase is a set of 6 brass shot glasses, covered in a diamond pattern cloisonne enamel. The set cost 18 Euros (this was in 2003).
Also a big fan of Puce de Vanves for little stuff (more vintage/tag sale type stuff than antiques) -- great atmosphere.
