Doesn't that place have a waiting list? We stayed at CASERIA de COMARES a great place near the stadium. It was like an oasis - nice neighbourhood, underground parking, swimming pool with patio and surrounding gardens. Our room was a kitchenette. There are restaurants and a grocery store within a few blocks. Check the web site and google earth.

We were in Granada this past May and the parador and also the entire area around the Alhambra is beautiful. Water features are everyhwere within the Alhambra and you will see waterfalls along the road that leads up. We stayed at Hotel American and were very happy with it. It has a courtyard full of plants, charming rooms, and the location is good-you can walk into Granada City Center and take a bus back up the hill. It is possible to walk it but is a bit steep-we did this once due to the bus stopped running at 11 pm.
