I'm trying to find a good day tour of Salzburg and the surrounding lake country, any ideas? I tried Panorama Tours, but am having trouble booking online and e mailing them.

Try Bobs Tours. I plan use them in Sept. and have seen them recommended in books and in these postings.

Hi Robert
I used Bob's Tours this past May and had such a great time. Our host was friendly with a good knowlege and sense of humor. I made my skeptical father join me on the Sound of Music tour and even he had a lot of fun. You'll love the area and Salzburg is wonderful. Happy travels!
P.S. If you show them the Rick Steves book you should be able to get a small discount.
