I am going to Pamplona for the festival and will be there 7 July - 9 July. On July 9th I have a flight from Bilbao airport at 10:20am. So my question is how long is the bus ride from Pamplona to Bilbao? I have seen some people say it is 1.5 hours - 2.5 hours. I, of course do not want to miss my flight. Should I just stay in Bilbao July 9th or take the early morning train from Pamplona and take my chances? Thank you in advance!

I have no idea how long the bus will take, but it takes me two hours to drive it with no stops. Also, I think the main Bilbao bus station is down around Old Town (or just across the river from it). The airport is up on the plateau to the east. You'd have to figure in another half hour of transfer time. The Bilbao airport is small, arriving an hour prior to departure will probably be fine. To me that means you have to get on the first piece of transportation by six. You tossed in 'train' at the last minute. I don't know much about that either, but I'd bet you'd have to change down around Vitoria, making the trip much longer than two hours. The Bilbao train station is close to the bus station. I'd get to Bilbao the day before, hit the museum, and call it a night.

Whoops - by 'train' I meant bus. The earliest bus from Pamplona is at 7am.... I will probably just take the latest bus from Pamplona to Bilbao then spend the night there. Thank you!
