Hi - heading to Paris in Aug. Looking at the Versailles web site and there is an option to pre purchase tickets...however, I believe you need to either print them the day of or day before you go to the tour (not an option) or pick them up at a certain gate there (and trust they are there and know they are pre-paid.) Do I have this correct? ALSO - what option should we be choosing, the FULL package or are we actually paying for some things that are included for free? (ie: the tours of the gardens) We would like to stay into the evening hours as there is a special lighting ceremony with all the fountains - suggestions for above and timing of the day? Thanks!

I bought tickets a couple of weeks ago (for the end of July) and I was able to print them out just a few minutes after purchasing them. I didn't get tickets on a day where the fountains are lit at night, so I can't comment on that. My tickets were 20 euro each and I think they include everything that is available that day, including the audio tour.
