Looking at the map of France, it looks like Lourdes is quite a long train trip from Paris. Anybody out there who has been there? This might be another trip to book through a tour operator....

Just a note - during the time I believe you are planning to be in France - the Pope is coming to Paris and will also be visiting Lourdes. He is in Paris the 12th-15th and then will be making a pilgrimage to Lourdes for the 150th anniversary.
I am not sure which days you might be considering or if you are aware of this event - but I would anticipate that crowds and train tickets may be an issue.

Thanks for the tip! I had no idea the Pope was visiting Lourdes at that time. I think we are going to pass this time around.
