Hello experts! Traveling in October: We arrive at CDG on a Thursday morning and are not due at our rental cottage in Cenac et Saint Julien until Friday, giving us one night on the road to ease into our vacation. Any recommendations? We would like to stay in a village that is good for walking....Walking off jet-lag that is.

I would fly from CDG to Toulouse and save the getting-to-a-village part until the next day. Unless you really like jet-lagged driving, I mean. Toulouse is a city but a very walkable one with great charm. It's about 2 hours from Cenac et Saint Julien.
