Want to possibly do an overnight trip from Frankfurt to Luxembourg and the Alscae area of France w/ my 9 yr old. Where are some good places to stay and fun things to do?

You can easily do an overnight trip to Alsace and even include Europapark for your daughter (http://www.europapark.de/index.php?lang=en). Stay at an Ibis or Novotel in Strasbourg, I recommend the old fish market for dinner (no fish, tarte flambé, it's just a name).
